Today somebody at work asked the question, “what is winter?”<\/p>\n
It’s a good question. For some it sounds like a stupid question but to me I like to address it on all levels, so in order to do so I have written a short poem. I hope you enjoy it.<\/p>\n

\nIs it just snow? No, it’s not.
\nIt’s more than snow.
\nDEEP LIKE THE SNOW. I am.
\nThe answers are within me,
\nBuried, also like the snow.
\nI will respond to them like echoes
\nAcross snow-ridden clifftops.
\nAh. So it is mainly about snow then.
\nThat answers my question.
\nWinter is snow.
\nOh, and Christmas too,
\nWith a smidge of festoons added for good measure.<\/p>\n
