Earlier, I hadn’t listened to this yet. But before I could post a comment to say that, I listened to it, so I now have heard it.
There are many joys in this podcast but one of the most important is that I finally understand this blog post Ian made last year.
In typical ‘me’ fashion I have not listened to this and will be doing so tonight when I’m doing tha bizz in the kitchen (i.e. making me tea).
I hope you’ll be making a suitably grey meal. Maybe some sort of grey fish with mushroom puree.
I listened to it and remembered it was a thing even though it was from many moons ago.
I didn’t, I had mushroom soup with toast soaked in fish paste. It was “turbulent”.
It’s not a good soup if it isn’t at least a bit choppy.
Oh I agree, you need some chop when you’re slurping the slop. That’s a personal phrase of mine. One of many.
My ideal soup is choppy enough to have breakers where the soupy waves meet the rim of the bowl, but not so choppy that I get seasick while slurping.
