A Breath of Fresh Beans returns triumphantly after only 371 days since the last episode. We’re still ploughing through the wealth of recordings made during the various Covid-19 lockdowns, so its still technically series 4.
Anyway, we burst back into your ears to discuss:
- Finland
- Paul McCartney
- Popcorn
- Tinned Bears

I haven’t listened to this yet, as is the time-honoured tradition.
PS. I don’t think this has published to iTunes. Sorry.
News update: it now has been published to iTunes. You’re welcome.
I have now listened to this. I thought the first half, where we talked about conspiracy theories, was quite good. It got much better in the second half where we started digging deeper into Ian’s belief that liking something meant you wanted to be that thing.
It was nice to hear my voice again after so long.
Did you take a vow of silence between these two podcasts coming out?
What I hear in my head is different to what everyone else hears. I also took a vow of silence. It’s the longest I’ve ever been quiet, except the hundreds of years before I was born.
I heard someone refer to the hundreds of years before you were born as the happiest years of their life.
And I would agree with them in part because without ME and MY efforts we wouldn’t have all the wonderful inventions I’ve invented and books that I’ve written. The world needs me.
I’m not sure you paid sufficiently close attention to the thing you were agreeing to, but that’s fine. It’s what makes you special. Assuming that everything everyone says is somehow massaging your hugely overinflated ego. Well done you.
I don’t need to pay attention to things. Didn’t you hear how important I am?
Well done me indeed.
