Magical beepy door pass
September 11th, 2006
It’s an exciting day here at work!
Today I came in and was told the glorious news that my ID card is ready. That means that I now have my very own dangly tag thing on a cord (like those dog leads that extend) with my name and my picture on it. And it OPENS DOORS! I put it on a little thing and it goes beep and the door opens! Magical!
Do you have one of these? If so, does it excite you as much as mine excites me?

I have a small stubbly grey thing that makes a light turn from red to green so I can open a door. I also have a small stubby yellow thing that gives me free drinks from the vending machine.
JUST TWO THOUGH!

I have never seen them but already I feel a lot of love for your stubbly things.
I’d like to make clear that this is the first time I have said anything like that to another man.

I am neither flattered nor appaulled by your comment. I therefore remained blank and expressionless whilst you were talking.

Thank you for being so nonplussed! It leaves me burning with sheer, unadulterated apathy.

I too have a grey stuubly thing that makes a red light turn green and opens a door. It enables me to get in Garforth Country Club to drink cheap ale!

Hooray for magical beepy things that bring cut-price beverages!
Hip hip – hooray! etc.

I wish ale was in our coffee machine. I wish it dispensed £1000 bundles each time. That way we’d all get £365,000.00 extra a year. That would be nice…
