Silly Bint of the Month – Jack Penate

I hate him. At least with Kirsten Dunst and Nigella Lawson there was a slight intoxicating whiff of some sort of appreciation in there (for ‘Eternal Sunshine’ and her nips respectively) but he’s got no redeeming features. His last single involved him running in the video and, surprise surprise, his new ones has a bit of running too. People who have simple rhymes like ‘stupid’ and ‘cupid’ and ‘devotion’ and ‘potion’ just make my skin crawl. It’s up there with James Blunt-style cringiness.
Plus the way he sings is down with Kate Nash as irritating beyond belief. “Let’s over pronounce everything because we’re from darn sarth and we need to show it!” Fat chance. Just another artist championed by idiots like NME who are desperate for another singer songwriter to try and write about our generation when really all he comes across as is being a bit of a d*ck.

In fact the search engine facilty has only just been brought to my attention.. but I wouldn’t have anyway.
I actually find it quite amusing that people hate him so much, each to their own and all that 🙂
And on that note I feel the Doherty debate is indeed over!

I have said some things just not so much as others. I like the way we went from a mutual hatred of Jack Pinata, various other solo artists to a massive way about… Doherty (got it right now Auds).

And to think all this started with a little observation about Jack Penate. Who Ian says is rubbish, but hey, he doesn’t like many singists in his grumbly Yorkshire way, now does he? (well his/her/their first album was OK but after that ………..) you know the way he works

Ian’s ideal band is one that produced only one album of miserable indie-sounding music, clearly Clash-influenced, who release their singles only on vinyl, and which is so obscure that not even the band members themselves have heard of them.

Are you being serious? Do you honestly think that Jack Penate is as lowly and terrible as the likes of the Spice Girls and Dido? If so, then you are by far the most closed-minded, idiocratic, non-sensical pleb I have ever had the lack of pleasure meeting.
Fair do’s, I respect that different people have different tastes, some people like their indie, other enjoy a bit of hip hop. Bu then there’s you…I’m guessing you sit in your room after school and lock yourself away from the outside world, perhaps masturbating or listening to bands that either time has forgotten or no one has ever heard of. Jack Penate is a new age artist, his lyrics are true to the times and the trials and tribulations of life. Everyone can relate to at least one of his songs, if they say they can’t…they lie! Why the hell would you label such an artist a ‘Bint’? Do you have any idea what a bint is? You really are a clueless young lad/ladette, and your silly little post has enduced this rage! I hope you are proud!

Sandra R… I know one Sandra R but I don’t think you’re her. And it’s good that you found this particular thread. There have been an increasing number of people who actually believe that Jack Pinata is a decent musician and this must be stopped.
